I’m currently listening to one of my favorite podcasts. I won’t mention it, or link to it, since this isn’t a very nice post, but I think this needs to be said. Hopefully no one will be offended.
It appears that some authors are serializing their writing using the podcast format. They have adopted the term Podiobook, at least as far back as April 2005.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that anyone said this term out loud. When being discussed the term sounds much more like Potty-o-books than podiobooks, of course, carrying a whole different connotation than intended.
I’m writing this just as a heads up to all you authors out there. If you want this medium to be accepted universally, you might think of changing what you call it. The average American is going to think twice about getting involved with something that sounds like potty.

Leap Day MoabHere’s hoping everyone had a nice leap day.
Want to apologize for the lack of content this week. I’ve been busy trying to get all caught up on work. Planning a trip to Moab next weekend, and I want to have as much done as possible.
Look for more next week, and soon new Pics from Moab.

Colorado Rockies tickets world seriesOur local Colorado Baseball team, the Colorado Rockies, had a bit of a SNAFU this morning with sales of their World Series tickets.
The decision was made by the team to only make the tickets available online. Unfortunately, after 8.5 Million hits, and some serious webserver meltdown, ticket sales were suspended.
The worst part, the Rockies are getting the heat for this when I’m sure they paid a princely sum of money to Paciolan to provide the online ticket sales.

OK, so this is it. As of this morning I am no longer in the 18-34 demographic. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I am the ripe old age of 35.

kassabian motors kitt knight riderA famous 1982 Pontiac Trans Am used in filming Knight Rider is for sale.
Kassabian Motors in Dublin CA has one of the original cars used in filiming the series. It is exactly like it was during Knight Rider production including the blinking lights and turbo buttons. This is the only original K.I.T.T that has ever been for sale to the public.

babye food botulism earths bestFood contamination must be the theme of the week.
Earth’s Best Organic Two Apple Peach Barley Wholesome Breakfast has been recalled due to possible botulism contamination
Guess it just goes to show that it’s not only the overprocessed food like Con Agra’s Peter Pan Peanut Butter that can have quality problems. ‘Organic’ health food is not exempt either.
In fact, if I had to pick, I would much rather get Salmonellosis than Botulism…

There have actually been four major food recalls in the last week or so. Oscar Meyer has recalled chicken and Dole recalled fresh Cantaloupe.
